The video on demand is a practice on the rise within the consumption habits of Argentine viewers.
According to the recent Global Video On Demand study this practice is becoming more common and shows that at least 53% of Argentines are content via online subscription. When watching programs or movies from the VOD platform, about 80% of Argentines surveyed said they do from your computer, less than 50% use their mobile phone and then find smart TV (37%) and tablet ( 26%).
In this regard, we can say that this habit is encouraged by the free choice that allows consumers to view the content at the time that suits them and choose, as they are not tied to specific times. Also, because most likes being able to watch their favorite episodes and not have to wait for example the other day to find out how your favorite series continues.
Another key factor VOD is its low cost compared to cable TV services and digital. This represents a new opportunity for service providers in our country, since many users want to have more options in this regard. For advertising, it is also a challenge because 54% of respondents said they could see ads if they were products that interest them.
Finally, another differentiator that favors the consumption of video on demand is the fact that several family members can see at the same time different programs. Where each user has a different content that fit their desires and consumption are segmented effectively.
